The draft invitation and a sketch of the proposed work (Mapping the Gap) are on for comments at: http://wiki.idcommons.net/ID-Legal
The current plan is to hold a small (< 30 person) conference in the DC area the week of April 13th. Tentative dates are April 14 & 15 to allow for travel on Monday the 13th. The meeting will be held within metro distance of downtown DC to optimize local participation.
ISOC will provide funding for the meeting and will also provide supplemental funding for scholarships for key participants who aren't self-funding.
2. Co-Stewardship -- Update from Scott David
Scott is our official Co-steward!
3. Discussion of proposed "Ask a Lawyer" blog.
There was lively discussion among the lawyers on the call re: the perils of offering legal advise on line and the suggestion was made that a blog that offered straw man cases and then explored potential legal issues might be both useful and more likely to draw input from lawyers.
4. TBD
There was general concern expressed about the short time line for the DC workshop and some support for holding an event in the fall which would give folks more lead time in planning their attendance.
