== About ==
The Identity Gang is a group of folks that found a common interest in user-centric identity and started meeting at events in 2004.

We have an active mailing list of over 400 people. If you would like to join feel free to just make a request of [mailto:paul@socialphysics.org Paul], [mailto:phil@windley.org Phil] or [mailto:identitywoman@gmail.com Kaliya]. The list contents are not public but are available to the members of the list (for list members, here is a [http://groups.google.com/group/idworkshop link to the archives]).

We no longer keep a wiki list of all active participants.

We are a Working Group of [[Identity Commons]] - see [[Identity Gang Charter|our charter]].

== Mission ==

To support the ongoing conversation about what is needed for a user-centric Internet identity layer that supports the whole marketplace, especially individuals.

== Events ==
The [http://iiw.idcommons.net Internet Identity Workshop] produces the main community conferences. The Identity Gang puts on smaller functions when the occasion arises.

=== April 9th at 7:30pm at RSA ===
'''We are having an Identity Commons Get Together'''

''for those in town for RSA and those local''

'''Wednesday the 9th gathering starting at 7:15-7:30 for Drinks. Dinner at 8:00. '''

We have the back room of [http://www.saucesf.com/ Sauce 131 Gough St.] reserved. It holds up to 40 people. It is a very sort cab ride from Moscone. You can also walk if you are adventurous. The food is inexpensive for Foodie food and the wine selection is great. This is a no host dinner. (unless of course someone sponsors)

We want to get together have a nice dinner and connect as a community. There is lots to celebrate and a range of reasons to get together.
